Twitter community adds a context note to CNN tweet:  The official Twitter account for CNN tweeted, "Black fathers are often portrayed as absent or distant, but that isn’t what most people experience, according to both data and Black dads themselves. Such biased portrayals are often based on who is telling the story." The tweet included a link to a CNN article explaining this further. Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "Percentage of children living absent their biological fathers: Black children 64%, Hispanic children 42%, White children 24%, Asian children 16%." The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system. Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets. Twitter removed the community note at some point after it was widely reported on.
