X community adds a context note to Chuck Callesto post: Political commentator Chuck Callesto posted "JUST IN: Man in his underwear seen cruising through Dick Morris’ house during live interview.. I HAVE QUESTIONS.." The post included a video clip from Morris's Newsmax hit with the underwear-clad man walking through the room behind him. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Context: Eileen McGann, the wife of Dick Morris, had a stroke 3 years ago and has been incapacitated since. The man seen walking by is her full-time caretaker who lives with the couple. tmz.com/2024/01/17/dic…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
