X community adds label to user's post of Trump clip: Meidas Touch Network editor Acyn's X account posted a clip of a campaign speech by 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump and added a caption that read "Trump: All I know about magnets is this, give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that’s the end of the magnets." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know." The context added read "Magnets work underwater and are not affected by water. The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
