Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon is doubling down on his defense of free speech in an interview with Just The News Editor-in-Chief John Solomon.

In an interview on the Not Noise show by Just The News, Dillon declared Big Tech censorship as “the issue for our time.” The satire outlet CEO also condemned the relentless censorship The Babylon Bee has faced. Dillon’s new comments came in response to the questions posed by host Solomon, who cited the Framers saying, “I talked about the Founding Fathers. They did have a good sense of humor, but I don’t think they ever imagined in America where humor and opposing views would just be censored and canceled at any will, at any cost.”

Solomon followed up by asking, “How big a problem is censorship, particularly when it comes to Big Tech.” Dillon responded: “I think it’s a big problem. I mean, when I talk about it, I describe it as like the issue for our time.”

Dillon warned that while there are other crucial issues facing our country, free speech is the most important of them all, especially because of the Orwellian consequences of allowing one political side to control information.

“When it comes to the issue of speech though, and the control that’s being exerted over what you’re allowed to say and how you’re allowed to say it, even who you’re allowed to make fun of or what types of jokes you’re allowed to make, it’s really detrimental to society to have one side allowed to voice their opinions and to make assertions and claims and the other side to be, to be silenced and marginalized and ostracized for what they think and what they believe,” Dillon said in his short interview with Just The News.

The pro-free speech satirical news site has been the target of relentless censorship. Under the previous pro-censorship regime of Twitter, the social media platform suspended The Bee for calling Biden’s HHS Assistant Secretary Admiral Dr. Rachel Levine, a transgender woman, “Man of the Year.”

The Babylon Bee CEO promised to continue to push back against leftist attacks and attempts to muzzle conservatives, also warning that, “It means nothing good for our future if we continue to go down this trend. So, I think there needs to be a lot of pushback on it. We’re trying to do that with a lot of mockery and humor, but we’re also trying to exert our right to be on these platforms to continue making these jokes.”
