Anti-woke comedian Roseanne Barr slammed censorship-heavy YouTube as she announced increasing interest in video platform Rumble.

Barr posted on X (formerly Twitter) Sept. 12 that she is increasingly focusing on The Roseanne Barr Podcast (which has 376,000 YouTube subscribers) on the more pro-free speech Rumble as Google’s YouTube continues its biased and oppressive censorship. “[T]this is the start of something better!” she celebrated, before adding, “Free speech is great again.”

In the same tweet, Barr shared a link to her Rumble channel. “Starting to build up my Rumble- If you want to, follow this page to stay up on the podcast and any and all videos going forward,” she posted. “I’ll keep the YouTube going until they go full Gulag.” Barr already stated in a post on X she was considering leaving YouTube on Sept. 6, 2023.

The Google-owned video platform is now infamous for censorship. A YouTube executive bragged in 2021 that the platform had removed over 1 million COVID-19-related videos, though the platform later quietly updated its COVID-19 medical misinformation policy. The platform has long enforced a climate alarmist narrative as well.

YouTube has become infamous for its biased censorship of conservatives and any individual who does not agree with woke leftist narratives. Last month, for instance, YouTube fact-checked GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy twice.

Barr’s comments follow a recent ruling that sided with YouTube and against censored Dr. Joseph Mercola. After YouTube banned him for COVID-19 content, reportedly without warning, and denied him access to his content, Mercola sought damages, arguing that YouTube violated an implied contract. The judge sided with YouTube, however, endorsing the argument that the platform can censor with impunity since users agree to the platform’s terms and conditions. It’s no wonder free speech advocates are looking for alternatives to YouTube.
