Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro reminded MSNBC Morning Joe’s economic analyst Steve Rattner how the American tax system works, and it was glorious.

Rattner took to Twitter to prop up President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion pork-laced stimulus package. Rattner tweeted, “The top 20% of households reaped 65% of benefit from Trump’s tax cuts. The bottom 20% got 1%.” Pivoting off, Rattner fawned how Biden’s “American Rescue Plan gives aid to those who actually need it.” He even included a chart to illustrate his point. Not so fast. Shapiro had another chart, which completely blew up Rattner’s narrative.

Shapiro slapped Rattner’s narrative down in a quote tweet: “The top 25% of households pay 71% of all federal income taxes. The bottom 50% paid 4%. So that would be why.”

Apparently, the top 25 percent of households paying the overwhelming majority of federal income taxes was lost on Rattner.

Facts hurt don’t they, Rattner?

Rattner was also being very inconsistent. Prior to his pro-Biden stimulus Twitter propaganda, Rattner had just raised concerns about inflationary pressures the gargantuan stimulus bill could cause. He said on Morning Joe on Feb. 26 that the bill could “certainly be money that’s not well spent.” He had also compared the ill-advised plan to giving away “$100 bills on street corners.”

Apparently, when you’re a media pundit busy pushing silly talking points on Biden’s behalf, consistency gets thrown out the window.

Conservatives are under attack. Contact MSNBC at (800) 952-5210 and demand its economic analysts tell the truth about the massive COVID-19 stimulus plan and stop shilling for the Biden administration’s radical leftist agenda.
