Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)
Case #
2616

Twitter restricts Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's account for a week over tweet about COVID-19 vaccines: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was censored by Twitter again, landing what is classified by the platform as the punishment for a 4th strike. Her punishment restricted her account to being in read-only mode for a week. However, the tweet that reportedly resulted in this censorship is not being forcibly removed by Twitter. The tweet read: "The FDA should not approve the covid vaccines. There are too many reports of infection & spread of #COVID9 among vaccinated people. These vaccines are failing & do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks. Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms." Twitter deemed this tweet to be "misleading" according to the label that it applied to the tweet. According to the platform's policy, a 5th strike would result in Greene's permanent ban from the platform.
