The Blaze Media announced its emancipation from anti-free speech Big Tech platforms and their control of ad revenue.

Blaze Media founder Glenn Beck made the announcement on Tuesday in a fiery six-plus-minute long video and blog post. “Blaze Media is declaring [its] independence from Big Tech ahead of the 2024 election to ensure that we can keep bringing you the truth no matter what,” Beck stated.

In the face of damaging Big Tech censorship, Blaze Media will now rely on subscriptions to operate.

TheBlaze’s announcement noted that Big Tech giants are “throttling the voices of those who dare to stray from the accepted narrative” and that Meta and Google are among the companies that have targeted TheBlaze. Beck said that his Facebook page “has been throttled since July by more than 90 percent,” making it difficult for his followers to access his content.

Beck then explained that, when publishers like TheBlaze have online ads on their websites, “Google and other major ad exchanges can send bots, and these bots crawl their pages for content that they deem is unsafe for advertisers.” If that website has content that contradicts Google’s preferred narrative on any number of topics, including COVID-19, the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell, Palestinian terrorism against Israel, and so on, “they demand the ads be removed from the ‘offending article’ or else the entire website will be demonetized.”

And if the publisher refuses to self-censor, Beck added, the allegedly “unsafe” content is buried “so deep in their algorithms that it makes it impossible for anybody to find.”

Beck continued, “We’ve been dealing with this every day for years, but as soon as Biden was elected, it became much, much worse, and we are done playing the game.” Thus Blaze Media has decided to rely on subscriptions rather than anti-free speech Big Tech for revenue.

“We are taking a huge risk; we are investing in more quality content, including expert analysis, insightful commentary, investigative reporting ... and we’re cutting out the middleman and going all in on you,” Beck added.

Conservatives are under attack.
